How does To BE Me Understand Your Child at Every Age and Stage?
We know that as children grow, their needs and behaviours change. The To BE Me curriculum is structured to support these distinct stages, telling a fascinating story of growth that you can cherish for a lifetime.
You and Me (0-1 Year Olds) For our youngest babies, learning is built on a foundation of care, secure attachments, and trusting relationships. We create safe spaces with trusted faces where babies feel secure and cared for
Knowing Me (1-2 Year Olds) Older babies need space and room to move as they become more physically independent and develop the confidence to interact with a wider circle of people. They need safe environments that encourage this, and the opportunity to experiment with social relationships.
Playing with Me (2-3 Year Olds) Toddlers are energetic and enthusiastic learners who experience the world through movement and play. We provide inspiring spaces and choices that allow toddlers to grow their interests, share new ideas, and delight in the world around them.
Becoming Me (3-4 Year Olds) At this age, children develop their own thoughts, theories, and opinions. We encourage children to try things for themselves, solve problems, and find their voice in a supportive environment where it’s okay to make mistakes and try again.
Being Me (4-5 Year Olds) As part of our Kindergarten / Preschool program, we focus on developing a strong sense of identity and bravery. We provide safe spaces that challenge them to think, take some risks, and feel acknowledged as capable learners.
Becoming Us (5-6 Year Olds): To ensure a flying start to school, this stage focuses on further developing social skills, empathy, and cooperation, setting the foundation for them to thrive in social and academic settings.

What are the 7 Key Areas of Learning?
To help you see your child’s progress clearly, To BE Me groups learning into seven key areas. Each area includes skills and behaviour linked to your child’s age and stage of development.
I AM ME: This is all about identity, confidence, and emotional wellbeing. We support children to feel safe, independent, and valued.
A GOOD FRIEND: We help children develop crucial social skills like how to negotiate, solve problems, and collaborate with others.
A READER: We build foundational literacy skills from birth through playful stories, rhyme, and rhythm, making the path to reading a successful one.
A WRITER: Through drawing, mark-making, and developing fine motor control, children gain the skills needed to express themselves through writing.
A COUNTER: Numeracy learning comes to life as children touch, hold, and explore real objects, helping them understand concepts like grouping and sorting.
A MOVER: We focus on physical development, health, and wellbeing, teaching children how to move their bodies and stay safe while they explore.
A GREAT THINKER: We nurture critical thinking skills by encouraging children to experiment, test theories, solve problems, and discover that they are great learners.
