Moving On Up: Working Together With Families & Children

Change is hard, especially as children, with all those new places and faces to meet, it can be quite a process.

Every year, as the fourth term comes to an end, we work alongside families to ensure that when it’s time for your child to move on from one year into the next, the entire process is as pleasant and enjoyable an experience for everyone as it can possibly be!

At Guardian, we call this our Moving On Up program, a unique program that focusses on the critical transition phases through a child’s learning journey.

We understand that every child is different, with different needs and abilities.

From babies to toddlers, toddlers to kindergarten, and kindergarten to school years; as your child begins to move up, we will work with you to ensure that both you and your child are supported to feel safe and secure throughout the process.

What Moving On Up Means

At the end of each year, children are getting ready to transition from one learning environment and move onto the next, signifying the next stage of their educational and developmental journey.

To help prepare children for these changes, we invite them to discover new learning environments through a range of various activities, room visits, and playdates; all with the intention of slowly familiarising the child with the new faces and places that they will soon come to love.

The unique thing about this entire process is the collaboration between families and centres, as parents; you have a direct input into the whole experience!

If you notice that there are things that your child are gravitating more towards, or even things that may require a little bit more focus, we will work alongside you every step of the way to ensure that both you and your child are listened to.

Why We Put Children and Families First

We know that the developmental journey of each child is different, and our program is a way for us to support your child’s learning so that they can truly learn and develop at their own pace.

By working alongside families, we’re able to form a relationship that truly focuses on creating value for your child. aa

We’re forever proud and grateful that you’ve chosen us to join you on this exciting journey of your child’s education and development, and this is our way of showing you how committed we are to ensuring that you and your child receive the best support possible.
