We’ve been part of the Guardian Childcare Cherrybrook community for almost eight years, first joining in 2018 with our eldest daughter and now continuing with our youngest. Both of our girls started in the baby rooms and have progressed through the centre as they’ve grown.

Throughout the years, the educators and staff have consistently been warm, caring, and nurturing, always going above and beyond to ensure the children feel comfortable, supported, and settled. Their strong child-focused approach is something we’ve truly valued. One of the things that stands out most is the continuity of staff — there are still educators from when we first joined in 2018, which speaks volumes about the positive culture and management at the centre.

Our youngest daughter is now in the preschool room, and the educators do an amazing job preparing the children for school through engaging and purposeful learning experiences. The kids are exposed to a wonderful variety of activities, crafts, games, and educational play that help build their confidence and curiosity.

We are incredibly grateful to Guardian Childcare Cherrybrook for providing our daughters with such a safe, supportive, fun, and enriching environment to learn and grow.
Response from the owner:Danisha, thank you so much for your beautiful and thoughtful review. It truly means so much to have been part of your family’s journey over the past eight years and to have cared for both of your daughters as they have grown through the centre. Your kind words about our educators, nurturing environment and child-focused approach are incredibly appreciated. We are especially grateful for your recognition of the continuity within our team and the positive relationships built over the years. Thank you again for your ongoing trust and support, it has been a privilege to be part of your daughters’ learning and development journey.

Our family has been part of this community for a long time. We have been here for over two years ourselves, and my sister’s children have also been attending, which places our family here for a total of seven or eight years. We actually travel 10km every single morning and afternoon specifically to come to Guardian Cherrybrook. Despite having over 10 local daycares much closer to home, we stay here because of the quality of care.

The claims about recent management shifts and staff turnover simply do not align with the facts or the timeline suggested by others. In our time here, the staff has been remarkably consistent. While we have seen a management shift firsthand, it was not within the timeline these other reviews suggest, and the new leadership is even better. They are incredibly hands-on (not that they weren't before) and any minor concerns we have raised are quickly resolved, with obvious and clear internal team communication.

To raise privacy concerns - there have been minor incidents between my child and her cousin where it was completely obvious who was involved, yet the team absolutely refused to admit or say names to maintain protocol. If they aren't going to tell me it was my own sister’s child, you can guarantee they take privacy seriously.

Every morning we arrive to find multiple activities already set up and a variety of breakfast options ready. On that note, the chef has an unmatched level of appreciation for the kids and it shows in every meal. The premises, equipment, and playground are constantly evolving, often a fresh and changing environment for the children.

We feel the love and effort from the staff - from your usual day to their planning around every calendar event, the thoughtful arts and crafts that come home and the invite to share the event with our little one.

This is a stable, nurturing, and genuinely child-focused environment.

Thanks Team!
Response from the owner:Jono, thank you for such an incredibly thoughtful and detailed review, it means so much to hear the trust your family has placed in the team over so many years, especially with so many options closer to home, we’re so glad the consistency, care and dedication from the educators and leadership team continues to make such a positive impact on your family’s experience, your comments around communication, privacy practices, the learning environments and the effort that goes into each day truly mean a lot to us, it’s wonderful to hear your children feel so supported in such a nurturing and engaging environment, thank you again for your ongoing support and trust in the team.

We have had such a positive experience with Guardian Childcare Cherrybrook and I cannot speak highly enough of the team.

The educators show genuine care, patience, and compassion every single day. It is very clear how much they truly invest in the children, not just in meeting their needs but in helping them feel safe, supported, and valued.

Since starting, I have seen such a significant change in my daughter. She has grown in confidence, developed beautiful manners, and become a happy, independent little girl. This has been especially evident recently as she transitions from the baby room into the toddler room.

It is so reassuring as a parent to know she is in an environment where she is encouraged to learn, explore, and be herself. The communication from the team has also been fantastic, and I always feel informed and included in her day-to-day experiences.

We are incredibly grateful for the role the educators have played in her development and would highly recommend Guardian Childcare Cherrybrook to any family looking for a nurturing and supportive environment for their child.
Response from the owner:Melissa, thank you for such a thoughtful and heartfelt review, it’s so wonderful to hear the positive impact the team has had on your daughter’s confidence, independence and overall development, we’re so glad she has felt supported through her transition and continues to feel safe, valued and encouraged each day, it’s also lovely to hear the communication has kept you feeling informed and connected, your kind words truly mean so much to us and we really appreciate your recommendation.

It’s been about a year since my daughter started attending Guardian after we moved interstate. At first, we chose this centre because it was close to us, but now we’re so happy with it that we’d continue coming here even if we moved out of the suburb.

The centre is clean, safe, and has great spaces for the kids to play and learn. The educators are skilled, friendly, and always helpful, they’ve really supported my daughter in feeling comfortable, especially with potty training.

The centre management team is approachable, responsive, and always willing to help whenever we need it. Overall, we’re very happy with the centre, and most importantly, my daughter loves going there.
Response from the owner:Melissa, thank you for your thoughtful feedback, it’s so lovely to hear how happy you’ve been over the past year and that your daughter has settled in so well after your move, we’re so glad the team has been able to support her, especially with things like potty training, and that the environment has felt safe and welcoming for your family, it means a lot to hear she loves coming each day and that you would choose to stay with us, your kind words truly mean a lot to us.

Preschool Program
Flying start to school

Our Flying Start to School preschool program is lead by degree qualified Teachers in a long day care setting. Our specialist two-year program is committed to supporting your child as they prepare for big school. We focus on nurturing their confidence, making friends and social emotional growth while also supporting their abilities in reading, writing, counting, and thinking skills. Whether it’s building with blocks, practicing their first letters, or learning to share with friends, every experience is carefully designed to support your child’s development.

Our Centre is a recipient of funding as part of the NSW Government’s Start Strong Program which subsidises the cost of preschool in long day care. For 3-year-old’s this is between $423-$769 and for 4-year-olds between $1,783-$2,563. This support is in addition to the Child Care Subsidy and can help to lower your out-of-pocket fees. Out and about

Through excursions, children are supported to expand their world, to get to know their community, and have a sense of belonging. Their learning thrives when they feel safe, welcome, and that they belong.

Cooking

Cooking experiences teach numeracy by counting ingredients, and weighing and measuring quantities and volume, while managing these tasks supports independence and confidence.

Ella Language

Learning languages through Early Learning Languages Australia (ELLA) supports brain development and social skills and creates opportunities to celebrate cultural diversity.

Joy of Reading

Reading aloud to children each day inspires imagination and supports thinking. Books with rhythm, rhyme and word patterns make stories more playful and memorable.

Sustainability

From growing veggies and foraging in the garden for that day’s meal ingredients to learning about recycling, children learn about being part of a community, connecting to their environment and understanding their impact on the world.
