Baby Circle: Media Permission

Guardian Childcare & Education is committed to protecting children’s privacy, safety and
dignity while responsibly sharing images that reflect learning, development and participation in early
childhood education.

This form seeks your informed consent for the collection and use of your child’s image and related media
for external media and publicity purposes, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Australian
Privacy Principles, and the Education and Care Services National Regulations.

1. Personal Information Being Collected

Guardian may collect personal information about your child, including photographs, video recordings, audio recordings (voice), images of artwork or learning experiences, and limited contextual information such as age group or activity. These images and recordings are considered sensitive personal
information.

2. Purpose of Collection and Use

This information may be used for:

a. Guardian websites and digital platforms
b. Social media channels
c. Advertising and marketing materials
d. Media releases and news coverage
e. Promotional materials for events and campaigns

Guardian will only collect and use your child’s images where express consent has been provided. Consent
is voluntary and not a condition of enrolment.

4. Storage and Security of Information

Guardian uses secure systems, restricted access controls, and approved platforms to protect personal
information from misuse or unauthorised access.

Consent may be withdrawn at any time in writing. If you withdraw your consent, this will prevent future use of your child’s information from the date consent is withdrawn

6. Best Interests of the Child

Guardian will only use images that respect the dignity, wellbeing and safety of children

7. Regulatory Compliance

This form will be retained in your child’s enrolment record in accordance with the Education and Care Services National Regulations.

8. Review and Legislative Change

This form may be updated to align with future legislative amendments, from time to time.
