DIY Eco Friendly Candles

Guardian Childcare & Education Marsfield  made their very own, eco friendly  candles from scratch this week. Turn off the lights and treat yourself and your family  to these amazing  scented candles. We hope you have as much fun creating as we did.

What you will need

  • One plain pillar candle.
  • Cotton thread to create wick.
  • Old & or broken crayons to make colourful candle (Optional).
  • Lavender leaves or any essential oil.
  • A jar or Silicone mould to shape  the wax in candle.

Steps to make

1.  Measure the wax. Before you begin the candle-making process, make sure you have a clean, flat surface to work on.
2  Melt the wax and colour crayons.
3. Add fragrance oils.
4. Attach the wick in jar or in container with little wax and tied the top on the sticks or pencil.
5. Pour the wax.
6.  Cut the wick.
7.  Wait until the wax settles and cools.

Your candle is  now ready to use.  Always supervise your child/ren when they are using or near candles.
