Our high-quality early childhood centre is conveniently located in the lovely area of Melbourne on St Kilda Road near Albert Park Lake and Fawkner Park.
The centre boasts of remarkable views, overlooking Port Phillip Bay, Albert Park and wonderful views of the city which spark the most incredible conversations with children about our world!
Our modern and light filled centre is equipped with Reggio-Emilia inspired learning materials across seven classrooms, shared active spaces, a shared dining hall, and an open aired rooftop garden. The recently renovated rooftop includes veggie gardens, a water play area, sand and gravel pits and expansive views over the bay and city.
Our babies room features an indoor sandpit along with a variety of open-ended experiences where inquisitive minds can touch, play and learn.
Natural resources, loose parts and recycled materials are used throughout the learning environments to foster creativity, excitement and wonder as the children explore and discover.
Our team of passionate Educators and leaders are committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all children and families. The educational experiences offered within the rooms reflect the needs, developmental levels and interests of each child and is created in accordance with the Early Years Learning Framework and our own Guardian Curriculum.
Our integrated kindergarten program, run by a Bachelor Qualified Early Childhood Teacher, is dedicated to offering educational, fun and developmentally appropriate classes where each child can learn through play and exploration. The program incorporates incursions, group focused projects and other kinder specific experiences focused on educating children to prepare for their transition to school and life outside of an early childhood environment.

Our last day today and I have never felt so sad to leave a city because of the exemplary care, love and fun provided to our daughter here at Sunnyside Lane. She has been in their care since 6month old to 12month old and developed confidence, socialising, and some cheeky habits. The educators are so attentive, and management is very supportive. Highly recommend. We chose this place after touring 5 other centres, and it was definitely the right choice. We could not be more grateful to the staff for nurturing, educating, and caring for our family and working together to make sure our little ones best interest was front and centre. Literally every day she leaps out of our arms for a cuddle from her educators and gets mad on days she didn't attend 😂. She loves them so much too.

I took a tour today with Joanna, who is a really nice and passionate educator. She showed me around and expalined everything in such a detail. She answered all my questions honestly and directly. The environment is amazing, the staff are awsome!

Absolutely whole heartedly LOVE Guardian St Kilda North. My children are so cared for and their development has gone from strength to strength. The Educators take a personalised approach and feedback on our children's progress and learning. Our two girls are thrilled to be there daily and wake up and look forward to attending. My 14 month old son started at Guardian Childcare & Education St Kilda North in the baby room in August 2020 in the middle of stage 4 lockdown.I had an online zoom tour by the centre manager Jose who's very helpful and friendly, and I was very impressed by the facilities, staff and menu.The centre's and building covid procedures are excellent and gives me peace of mind My baby went to Gaby the baby room supervisor immediately on the first day of orientation.My baby settled in quickly and moved to the toddler room after a month and is thriving. They have many activities and I can see my son's rapid growth and understanding.The food is delicious and healthy and caters for my son's intolerance.It is important for me to get updates on how much he eats and his nappy changes which the staff are happy to show me daily.It was a big decision to move to Melbourne but Guardian Childcare & Education St Kilda North made my baby's transition easier, which made the entire move more enjoyable.Thankyou Jose, Mei, Jess, Gaby, Basuli, Marla, Lydia and everyone that I haven't mentioned.PS The underground carpark is a huge plus as we no longer have to run in the rainNov 2022 - Love the smaller classes compared to other huge centres, I feel there is more attention on each child. Lynda the chef serves a big interesting variety of healthy food daily to increase my child's taste buds.Mei goes above and beyond to accommodate for casual days and ALL the educators and staff are wonderful, especially Goun, Donna, Shruti and everyone in Raindrop. Great Centre, Amazing educators & caring management team. My 4 YO daughter loves going here and she has learnt a lot of things from this centre. We have been a member if this Centre for about 7 years now and I could not be happier with how my children have been looked after. I fully trust the whole team and my children feel like they are a part of a family when they are there. They feel safe, looked after, they are learning new things and skills every day and always with a smile on their face. One of my children learned how read and write in their kindy program and the other one (currently in kindy) is almost there. It is a very safe environment for the kids to express themselves in any way, the staff is amazing, great management, always willing to listen and help whenever they can. I’ll miss them once my second child start school. 😊

our children have attended full time for most of their lives there, our son for nearly 3 years to kinder now and our 2 yo daughter from 5 months in the nursery room till now. As full time working parents, we feel reassured that Guardian provides a safe and fun environment for them to develop. For us there’s no better way to describe it other than seeing the children enthusiastic going and happy coming home everyday.

Guardian St Kilda Road has become my son’s second home. He loves his teachers and friends. The teachers are amazing and the new management has done an awesome job in transforming the processes. I love that they are very responsive and communicate well with the parents be it over the phone, in person, emails or newsletters. They attend to the children’s needs and encourage their strengths and individuality. I feel confident that my son is learning, being looked after and enjoying each day in this centre. This childcare is absolutely fantastic. They have proper processes in place and the staff follows them religiously. It is full of caring and passionate educators who treated my child as a part of their family. I could leave my baby here without any worries. There are so many interesting activities even for a 6 month old baby. This centre is a benchmark for a child care!I would like to thank all her educators and her carers who took care of her and if I could , I would definitely bring her back to this centre.Only reason we had to move her to another childcare in the suburb was because the travel to the city was getting hectic.

I cannot say enough good things about Guardian, St Kilda Road (woodlands). They have looked after my son for the past 19 months impeccably, and I have never had a single issue or incident with them. The only reason my son has moved, is that we have moved to a new area and he needs to go to Kinder with kids he will go to school with. Aymie is the centre manager who goes above and beyond and actions requests almost immediately. My son went into the Raindrop room in 2018, and I'm calling out Rhi and Jade in particular for the care and understanding they give my VERY high energy boy, who was the only one in the class who never had a nap. They are understanding, they have taught him so much - songs, rhymes, how to share, how to dance, how to make friends. Always grateful, and would recommend to anyone who wants not only a childcare centre, but somewhere their child can grow. Thanks to all there. - Lyndsey Walker.

My son loves this place. He has been coming here since the 2nd of July last year for 2 days per week. He looks forward to coming to see his friends and his favourite teachers here so much that he gets upset when I drop him off at a different centre 2 days per week. He enjoys the roof top playground and does not need to go to a playground on the way home unlike days when he has been at the other centre.

Absolutely love this place. My little one started his first day care with them. His english was bad bad cause we just moved to Australia and our lovely Shauna took care of him and make him fill comfortable in the environment. After two month he was happy to go there and didn't want to leave place, found friends and completely settled in the day care. I was so calm cause I known that my son is in good place. Everyday I received in the app what they were doing during the day with images and story so I felt connected and had something to discuss in the evening time. He ate there everything he didn't at home so can say that the food was really good even if I haven't tried it. Want to say Thank you to the Nakita who organised his enrolment as fast as I needed (I called on Friday evening and we started orientation on Tuesday). Thank you Shauna for sitting with Liosha on you knees whole settlement period and for the love you share with them, for all activities they had in the centre. We finished with day care in the middle of dec and my son keep asking about Shauna so that means something to me. Love you guys. Big hugs from us and wish you all the best!Anna

After what we thought was going to be big changes with the new management it has been such a great transition.They have been so helpful and accommodating and I can already see how happy everyone is which is so important for my daughter. My 3 year old girl loves here, he brings her craft everyday home with pride and keeps on talking to me about it. The staff are so creative, they plan and organise the activities well, and during activities they teach children about the material, the history, etc.
