"I'm passionate about mentoring Educators and ensuring each child’s learning is led by endless possibilities."
Every day is a new opportunity for discovery and growth at Guardian Early Learning 101 Collins Street, which is rated exceeding in the National Quality Standard. With a range of resource-rich environments, including a family dining area, city views, and a range of age-specific ateliers, children are encouraged to explore and learn.
The warm and homely centre also features simulated outdoor spaces, vibrant gardens, a treehouse, a weekly yoga program and multiple water play areas.
Children get out and about on excursions, so we have a great connection with the surrounding community. Favourite locations include the National Gallery of Victoria, Flinders Street, Treasury Gardens, Federation Square.
We are proud to have a diverse team of Educators and celebrate a variety of cultures and holidays throughout the year.
Our on-site cook prepares five nutritionally balanced meals using seasonal ingredients every day. Children enjoy their meals in the dedicated piazza while socialising, and partake in regular cooking classes hosted by our Educators to further explore food at the centre.

With endless possibilities, there’s never a dull moment at Guardian and no two days are the same. Here’s what a day at Guardian might look like. Please note, this will vary depending on centre opening hours.
From 6:30am
Handover time with children, families and our friendly Educators. There's a chance for conversation to share what's important for the day/what's happened the night before at home.
From 7:00am
Breakfast time where families are welcome to stay and enjoy breakfast with the children.
Morning
As children are arriving and families are coming and going, there's an opportunity for play as well as family grouping, open-plan play and multi-age grouping.
Morning
As the children come together, planned experiences begin. This is where the Guardian programs and practices come to life. Examples of learning include numeracy, literacy, language, critical thinking, problem solving, leadership, social skills, technology, science, creative arts, curiosity and more.
Morning
There's an opportunity for children to come together and enjoy morning tea.
Mid-morning
Following morning tea, the planned experiences continue. This includes both indoor and outdoor programs.
Afternoon
There's an opportunity for children to come together for lunch. With an open-door policy, families are able to join the centre for meals and excursion if they wish.
Afternoon
For children who want to, or need to, there's an opportunity to sleep, rest or relax. For children who don't need to rest, there are planned experiences, which are more likely to be outdoors.
Afternoon
Children come together for afternoon tea in small groups or with siblings (they can also rest and play together, too). This time also presents an opportunity to reflect on the day.
End of the day
As families arrive to pick up children, there's an opportunity to speak to Educators and share information about the day.
End of the day
Some centres offer early tea or light snack at the end of the day, which they can grab as they leave the centre. We’re mindful of how routines vary at home, so if throughout the day, we notice children look tired, food will be provided.

Our team of Educators are committed and passionate about ensuring your child will be safe, nurtured and cared for every day. At Guardian, children are encouraged to engage in interest-led play that creates learning and meaningful experiences.
Our Educators seek to optimise diverse learning opportunities and implement the Curriculum as framed by the Early Years Learning Framework.
All Guardian Centres provide a Centre-to-Family communication platform so families can maintain contact with their children’s experiences through photos, stories and learning outcomes.
Our Centres use Storypark and each family is provided with a secure login to access on their computers, mobiles or apps.
Guardian Early Learning Centres provide over 11,000 families across Australia with the peace of mind and confidence that their child is receiving the best education and care every single day. Providing long day care as well as vacation care, our 101 Collins Street early learning and childcare centre is no different.
Staffed by a team of highly professional and experienced Educators, we provide a bright and inspiring space that caters to all interests and levels of development. Our multicultural Educators bring a range of languages into the centre including Mandarin, Arabic, French, Greek, Pilipino, Indonesian and Indian.
We offer delicious, seasonal and nutritionally-balanced meals that are specially crafted by our in-house chefs to give children all the nutrients that growing minds and bodies need. Our family dining area encourages families to have breakfast with us (we provide a selection of cereals, toast, spreads and fruit) to help bridge the gap from home to care, creating quality family time and a smooth transition to the start of the working and learning day ahead.
Our unique curriculum prepares children for successful lifelong learning, and our specially designed indoor and outdoor environments have been created to promote learning, curiosity and adventure, as well as provide the space for all-important quiet time and rest.
We love taking our children out on daily excursions into the CBD and surrounds in our massive eight-seater prams. For these children, the city is their teacher and they love indulging in the culture and creativity the CBD has to offer. Excursions include visits to the library, art gallery, gardens, playgrounds, museum, cafes and even the graffiti covered lanes of the CBD.
We’re passionate about building relationships with all of our families, and believe that two-way communication is of paramount importance. So whether you have questions, feedback, or suggestions on how we can make the Guardian experience even better for you and your child, we’re always happy to have a chat and develop something that works for you. Our open door policy means that families are welcome to come in at any time throughout the day to play, feed or just to say hi.
