-
Morning tea
An opportunity for children to come together for a healthy snack, often they help prepare their food alongside our carers and chef.
-
Mid-morning
Individually tailored to your child’s needs and curiosity the planned experiences continue, this includes both indoor and outdoor programs.
-
Lunch
Another nutritious meal expertly prepared by our chef. Families are invited to join the children for meals and excursions if they wish.
-
Afternoon
If your child wants to, or needs to sleep, it’s time to rest and recharge. For children who don’t need to rest the planned experiences continue, in most cases outdoors.
-

Guardian Childcare & Education in Victoria’s Bentleigh East offers a warm and peaceful environment complemented by a beautiful natural environment. Each room boasts a variety of education programs with interactive experiences, materials and sensory experiences designed to pique curiosity and promote learning and growth.
Guardian Bentleigh East is perfect for families living in or near the Bentleigh East area, including neighbouring suburbs of Oakleigh, Moorabbin, Huntingdale and Clayton. Our Bentleigh East childcare centre is located close to a number of primary schools, including St Catherine’s Primary School and Southmoor Primary School.
Our Educators and Teachers are all passionate and highly experienced, and we have university-qualified Early Childhood Teachers providing care and education to the children as well. Our Teachers and Educators work to understand each child’s unique characteristics, interests and talents to make learning a more fun and engaging experience.
Families are strongly involved in life at our centre, from reading stories and making crafts to celebrating special occasions and contributing ideas. Our friendly, qualified educators have fostered strong relationships with families for years, underpinned by clear and frequent communication.
These close connections mean our experienced Educators have a deep understanding of each child and can provide personalised support for their individual needs. It also means our families are instilled with a sense of confidence that their children are in the best possible hands, with educators who are experienced and professional but also gentle and loving.
The aroma of home-style cooking flows from the kitchen to create a feeling of home, with nutritious and balanced meals lovingly prepared on-site by our trained cook.
Outside, the children are encouraged to explore the world around them in safe spaces that promote discovery and independence. The option of indoor and outdoor play means each child has the flexibility to choose the environment that best suits their interests.
We also boast a weekly music and movement incursion, sports program and regular excursions where we explore our area. As part of the community, we have connections with a local dentist, doctor and maternal health nurse from the council.
For children aged three and four years, we have an amazing kindergarten program that runs with our long day care to help prepare them for their upcoming transitions into formal schooling. Our three-year-old program emphasises developing some of the social and communication skills that the children will use as they gain more independence. We encourage development in these areas through group play and some slightly more structured activities.
In four-year-old kindergarten, children further develop their communication, social and emotional skills, and they also begin exploring some numbers, shapes and phonics. We encourage children to practice reading simple sounds and words on their own, and we empower them through the learning process that comes with this.
Through developing skills in these areas, children can feel more ready and confident as they begin their first year of primary school. Our learning programs are aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework, the National Quality Standard, and the Australian School Curriculum. We develop each child’s literacy and numeracy skills to help them feel confident and prepared during the challenging leap into primary school. Our program supports the needs and routines of each of our families, and we ensure each child’s cultural background is supported and encouraged.
As part of our unique Visible Learning Program, families will be able to gain an understanding of their child’s education. Our Learning Exchange Display will provide the opportunity for our Teachers and Educators to share updates on your child’s progress. It will also be a chance for you to have direct input into your child’s learning!
Why not come and meet the team and have a look around our wonderful childcare Centre today? We’d love to show you why Guardian Bentleigh East is the perfect learning environment for your child. At Guardian, we believe that together, we can create life-long learners.
We look forward to welcoming you soon!
