Rhythm of The Day
With endless possibilities, there’s never a dull moment at Guardian and no two days are the same. Here’s what a day at Guardian might look like. Please note, this will vary depending on centre opening hours.
-
Morning
Handover time with children, families and our friendly Educators. There's a chance for conversation to share what's important for the day/what's happened the night before at home.
-
Morning
Breakfast time where families are welcome to stay and enjoy breakfast with the children.
-
Morning
As children are arriving and families are coming and going, there's an opportunity for play as well as family grouping, open-plan play and multi-age grouping.
-
Morning
As the children come together, planned experiences begin. This is where the Guardian programs and practices come to life. Examples of learning include numeracy, literacy, language, critical thinking, problem solving, leadership, social skills, technology, science, creative arts, curiosity and more.
-
Morning
There's an opportunity for children to come together and enjoy morning tea.
-
Mid-morning
Following morning tea, the planned experiences continue. This includes both indoor and outdoor programs.
-
Afternoon
There's an opportunity for children to come together for lunch. With an open-door policy, families are able to join the centre for meals and excursion if they wish.
-
Afternoon
For children who want to, or need to, there's an opportunity to sleep, rest or relax. For children who don't need to rest, there are planned experiences, which are more likely to be outdoors.
-
Afternoon
Children come together for afternoon tea in small groups or with siblings (they can also rest and play together, too). This time also presents an opportunity to reflect on the day.
-
End of the day
As families arrive to pick up children, there's an opportunity to speak to Educators and share information about the day.
-
End of the day
Some centres offer early tea or light snack at the end of the day, which they can grab as they leave the centre. We’re mindful of how routines vary at home, so if throughout the day, we notice children look tired, food will be provided.

Learn More About Our Centre expand_more
Guardian Childcare & Education Croydon Park is a clean and modern learning environment for children aged six weeks to six years to grow and develop in their early years. We place an emphasis on play-based learning, and empowering each child to foster development through their interests, passions and talents.
We have a spacious outdoor environment for children to roam and explore, and there are endless possibilities for fun and learning through the many stimulating natural materials scattered throughout the space. We have a beautiful water area, where children can openly explore the properties of liquid while also cooling off on warmer days. Our sandpits are a great place for the children to practice engaging their imaginations and creativity.
Children at Guardian Croydon Park receive five healthy, nutritious meals each day, prepared by our friendly cook in our commercial-grade kitchen. Our Educators encourage children to engage in the food preparation process, through interacting with our chef or socialising while eating meals in the Piazza.
Through our family communication app, Storypark, you’ll receive lots of photos of your child throughout the day, providing some peace of mind that you won’t miss your child’s most significant developmental moments and milestones. Storypark allows you to be in contact with your child’s Educators at any time, meaning any queries or concerns you may have can be attended to quickly.
We’re open from 6.30 am to 6.00 pm every weekday, so there is plenty of flexibility to work around your schedule. We’re conveniently located a short distance from the main road into Adelaide’s CBD, so families from the northern suburbs may choose to drop their children off on the way into work rather than travelling to a separate location for childcare. We provide child care and long day care for families in Croydon Park and the surrounding suburbs, such as Prospect, Enfield and Kilburn.
At drop-off and pick-up times, we encourage families to come into the Centre and meet with our Educators. This is an amazing opportunity to discuss your child’s growth and development, and to find some ways to improve their early childhood education experience. You can also take this time to walk around the learning environment and explore the various resources, materials and activities that your child can engage with throughout the day.
Those aged three and four years old have the opportunity to participate in our Kindergarten program. The Kindergarten curriculum is provided by passionate, university-qualified Educators who place an emphasis on fostering genuine and meaningful relationships with children. The kindergarten room is filled with resources that inspire learning and curiosity, showing children that education is a positive part of life.
Both the three-year-old and four-year-old programs are focused on preparing children for the exciting, but often daunting, transition into primary school. We’ll begin introducing some basic literacy and numeracy skills, providing children with a positive head-start as they enter the first few years of primary school.
Guardian Croydon Park consists of a passionate and enthusiastic educational team that take the time to know and understand your child. We foster growth and curiosity through your child’s unique hobbies, interests and talents, providing them with the opportunity to develop a lifelong love of learning.
