Queens View – Market Street Early Learning Centre

Every day is an opportunity for discovery and growth at Queens View – Market Street Early Learning Centre. With a range of exciting, resource-rich environments including vegetable gardens, city viewing platforms, a wooden castle, two chickens, and a range of multi-age ateliers, children are encouraged to explore and learn.

With a dedicated team of Educators who have been with the centre for a long time, we are proud to have a culturally diverse team and celebrate a variety of cultures and holidays throughout the year, including Holli and Diwali.

Children get out and about on weekly excursions, so we have a great connection with the surrounding community. We visit Abby’s Bookstore, the QVB, the koi pond under our building, Hyde Park and surrounding businesses.

Our on-site cook prepares five nutritionally balanced meals using seasonal ingredients every day. To further explore food at the centre, our community-focused Educators host cooking classes for the children to get involved in to enhance their understanding of good nutrition.

Our Educators

Our team of Educators are committed and passionate about ensuring your child will be safe, nurtured and cared for every day. At Guardian, children are encouraged to engage in interest-led play that creates learning and meaningful experiences.

Our Educators seek to optimise diverse learning opportunities and implement the Curriculum as framed by the Early Years Learning Framework.

You and Your Child

All Guardian Centres provide a Centre-to-Family communication platform so families can maintain contact with their children’s experiences through photos, stories and learning outcomes.

Our Centres use Storypark and each family is provided with a secure login to access on their computers, mobiles or apps.

Learn More About Our Centre

Queens View Early Learning Centre is located in the heart of the city, with a large outdoor play space that offers amazing views of Sydney Tower and the Queen Victoria Building. The children love to play outside on the open-air deck, where they can take in the sights and sounds of the bustling city around them.

The buddy program at our early learning centre partners older children with younger children to help them develop their self-help skills such as feeding, cleaning up, creating games and more.

Connecting to the community around them, children will engage in a variety of activities such as visiting a local fruit shop in the morning, helping in fundraising activities for a number of charities, or popping in to Darling View Early Learning Centre — our ‘sister centre’ located right next door — or visiting one of our other education and childcare centres in the Sydney CBD.

Our relationships with families are important to us and we encourage families to meet with us during the year to develop shared goals for their child, and to enjoy our breakfast and afternoon tea events with other families. Our door is always open, and you are welcome to come by or phone us at any time throughout the day.

Our wonderful cook prepares nutritious meals that are as healthy as they are delicious, and the children love to eat alfresco with their friends on the outdoor deck. Scones are a favourite, and are in such high demand that we created a cookbook to share the recipe with families!

Coming along on a tour and Orientation Day before your child enrols is a great way to get to know our Educators, and to get a feel for our kindergarten.

Looking for something a little closer to work? We have plenty of early learning and childcare centres in Sydney, so even if you change jobs or move offices, there’ll always be a centre within close reach.
