Guardian Childcare & Education Market Street (Darling View)

Guardian Childcare & Education Market Street (Darling View) is conveniently located in the heart of the Sydney CBD. Our location means families can access the highest quality education and care in close proximity to your workplace—all with less rushing around and more time with your child.

But being in the CBD doesn’t mean we’ve compromised on space or outdoor access. In fact, the Centre has a range of exciting, resource-rich environments including herb and vegetable gardens, city viewing platforms, a spacious outdoor area, and a range of age-specific spaces where children are encouraged to explore and learn.

The view of the buildings and the sounds of the city have inspired many learning experiences for the children at Guardian Market Street. Centre Manager, Angelique Sinesiou says, “Children and educators have undertaken projects which look at size, shape, patterns, texture, colour and scale based on the views visible from our outdoor yard. Our amazing space offers children the opportunity to explore various natural materials in our outdoor area.”

The Teachers and Educators at Guardian Market Street provide wonderful learning programs for the children, including a leading Preschool Program for those preparing for the transition to primary school. With a dedicated team of long-standing Educators from a range of backgrounds, we are also proud to celebrate a variety of cultures and holidays throughout the year, as well as teaching the children sign language.

Children at Guardian Market Street (Darling View) also have the opportunity to get out and about on weekly excursions, so we have a great connection with the surrounding community. We visit the local bookstore, fish pond, Hyde Park and surrounding businesses.

Our on-site cook prepares five delicious and nutritious meals every day, as well as offering hands-on cooking experiences for the children to extend their knowledge of nutrition and to encourage them to try new foods.

Our Educators

Our team of Educators are committed and passionate about ensuring your child will be safe, nurtured and cared for every day. At Guardian, children are encouraged to engage in interest-led play that creates learning and meaningful experiences.

Our Educators seek to optimise diverse learning opportunities and implement the Curriculum as framed by the Early Years Learning Framework.

You and Your Child

All Guardian Centres provide a Centre-to-Family communication platform so families can maintain contact with their children’s experiences through photos, stories and learning outcomes.

Our Centres use Storypark and each family is provided with a secure login to access on their computers, mobiles or apps.

Learn More About Our Centre

Guardian Childcare & Education Market Street (Darling View) is conveniently located in the heart of the CBD, next to the Queen Victoria Building and Town Hall train station.

Designed for exploration and adventure, our outdoor space has ample room for group play, as well as little nooks for hide and seek, plus gives the children an opportunity to take in the sights and sounds of their urban environment. The children love to play outside on the open-air deck, where they can take in the sights and sounds of the bustling city around them.

The buddy program at our early learning centre partners older children with younger children to help them develop their self-help skills such as feeding, cleaning up, creating games and more.

Our relationships with families are important to us and we encourage families to meet with us during the year to develop shared goals for their child, and to enjoy our breakfast and afternoon tea events with other families. Our door is always open, and you are welcome to come by or phone us at any time throughout the day.

Connecting to the community around them, children will engage in a variety of activities such as visiting a local fruit shop in the morning, helping in fundraising activities for a number of charities, or popping in to Queens View Early Learning Centre — our ‘sister centre’ located right next door — or visiting one of our other education and childcare centres in the Sydney CBD.

Each day our on-site cook prepares fresh and seasonal home-style meals. The children love assisting in the process, and discovering different tastes and textures along the way.

Coming along on a tour and Orientation Day before your child enrols is a great way to get to know our educators, and to get a feel for our kindergarten.
