Guardian Childcare & Education Marrickville boasts a range of resource-rich environments, including herb and vegetable gardens, a spacious outdoor area, and natural play structures where children are encouraged to explore and learn.

Guardian Marrickville offers long day care, before and after school care and vacation care to support the needs of local families. The light-filled centre is always buzzing with activities and excitement.

In addition to the huge range of care options available, the Teachers and Educators at Guardian Marrickville also provide wonderful learning programs for the children, including a leading Preschool Program for those preparing for the transition to primary school.

Here’s a look at one of the experiences the team at Guardian Marrickville recently created for the children on our Learning Exchange – reading and painting their way through the classic story, The Very Hungry Caterpillar.

We are proud to have such a culturally diverse team of Educators who celebrate a variety of cultures and holidays with the children in our Centre throughout the year. Community is a key feature of the curriculum at Guardian Marrickville, with children getting out and about on regular excursions to the local primary school, cafes and parks.

Our on-site cook is a valued member of the team, preparing fresh, delicious and nutritious meals in our Centre kitchen every day. Our Educators at Guardian Marrickville also host cooking classes for the children to get involved in to enhance their understanding of good nutrition.

You and Your Child

All Guardian Centres provide a Centre-to-Family communication platform so families can maintain contact with their children’s experiences through photos, stories and learning outcomes.

Our Centres use Storypark and each family is provided with a secure login to access on their computers, mobiles or apps.

Learn More About Our Centre

Our Marrickville centre offers a range of experiences through our childcare program that we believe are important for any child’s development in their early years. Our curriculum is modeled on the National Early Learning Years Framework which recognises the incredible value of investing in the first five years of a child’s life and the vital role that educators play in developing the whole child.

We aim to cater for children’s individual routines by practicing consistency between families’ homes and centres and by talking to parents about changes as children grow.

We ensure that all children have the opportunity to achieve and experience a variety of developmentally appropriate activities in aesthetically pleasing environments designed for growing bodies and creative minds.
