Guardian Childcare & Education Maroubra West

Guardian Childcare & Education Maroubra West NQS Rated Exceeding by ACECQA

Our centre has been recognised as ‘Exceeding’ the National Quality Standard. This is the highest rating you can receive from a regulatory authority assessment and we are proud to deliver an exceptional service to the children and families who attend our centre.

Guardian Childcare & Education Maroubra West is a beautiful light-filled and spacious Centre, housing a mix of indoor and outdoor learning environments where the exciting programs and practices come to life, including vegetable gardens, a water pump, creek bed, natural play structures and a range of age-specific play areas.

At Guardian Maroubra West children are encouraged to explore and learn, with the added benefit of a Preschool Program led by quality teachers who are there to help prepare your child for the exciting transition to school.

As part of our community focus we run an excursion program into the local community, as well as visit our sister Centre, Guardian Childcare & Education Maroubra East.

Guardian Maroubra West has a dedicated on-site cook who prepares five nutritionally balanced meals using seasonal ingredients every day. With an open-plan setting, the kitchen is the hub of our Centre. Children are able to interact and watch the preparation of meals, which enhances their understanding of good nutrition.

We’re Exceeding! What does that mean? Every six months, our Centres are assessed by ACECQA, the national body with the responsibility for monitoring the quality of all registered child care centres in Australia. A rating of Exceeding National Quality Standard means that you can be assured that this Centre is providing an exceptional level of care and attention for your child.

Our Educators

Our team of Educators are committed and passionate about ensuring your child will be safe, nurtured and cared for every day. At Guardian, children are encouraged to engage in interest-led play that creates learning and meaningful experiences.

Our Educators seek to optimise diverse learning opportunities and implement the Curriculum as framed by the Early Years Learning Framework.

You and Your Child

All Guardian Centres provide a Centre-to-Family communication platform so families can maintain contact with their children’s experiences through photos, stories and learning outcomes.

Our Centres use Storypark and each family is provided with a secure login to access on their computers, mobiles or apps.

Learn More About Our Centre

Caring for the environment is a big passion for a lot of our children, and they enjoy taking on outdoor responsibilities like watering the plants and tending to the garden. They take pride in watching things grow, and this helps to create a feeling of responsibility and belonging.

Our wonderful cook makes nutritious, home-style meals, using fresh ingredients from the garden where possible. The children love visiting the kitchen to watch the cook in action! Our menu has been reviewed by Nutrition Australia, which ensures all the daily requirements are being met. Bake sales are always a fun experience, with all proceeds going directly to the Starlight Foundation.

We believe in treating children as individuals, and encourage them to create their own learning experiences under the guidance of our friendly and engaging educators. Open communication helps to build strong relationships with families, and this begins before your child’s first day. New families are encouraged to attend orientation prior to the start date in order to meet our team and become familiar with the centre.

Once in our care, our open door policy means you are always welcome to come and visit your child. There are many opportunities to see the learning that takes place each day, and you can also book discussion times with an educator to develop shared goals for your child.
