Working at Guardian, you’ll not only enjoy awesome professional development opportunities, we’ll also give you a great place to work, incredible colleagues, and more than the usual list of benefits…
Because while you’ll always have access to the basics like competitive salaries, discounted childcare, training and development and flexible work options, we offer benefits and opportunities that go above and beyond – just like our people.
Educator Loyalty Scheme
By being a part of the Guardian family, you’ll receive a reduced rate on your childcare fees at any one of our centres across Australia. Plus, the Child Care Subsidy will then be applied to the reduced amount. In addition, our educators can utilise annual holiday discounts, public holiday discounts, full-time enrolment and extra day incentives. And the longer you’re with us, the bigger the discount.
We believe in lifelong learning so we provide support - both financially and practically - for any of our people you wish to undertake further education. Be it a formal undertaking such as a Bachelor of Education degree, our nationally accredited Diploma in Early Childhood Education or a relevant short course, we’ve got your covered.
Educators also have the opportunity to travel to Reggio Emilia in Italy for a study tour to further their understanding of our unique approach to early learning.
Professional Development Days
Throughout the year we organise a range of events, conferences and workshops in order to inspire, inform and entertain. These days also give you a chance to network with fellow Guardian employees and contribute to your own professional development.
Employee Referral Program
Know someone that you think might be a good fit at Guardian? Help us build our team at Guardian with more awesome people who are genuinely passionate about education, their job and our sector. If you refer someone for a role at a Guardian Centre or support office and they are hired for the role, you’ll be eligible for up to a $3,000 bonus!
Dedicated Communication Platform
Stay connected, keep on top of industry and company news and share your own stories through our dedicated communication platform.
Rewards and Recognition
At Guardian, we value and appreciate the “above and beyond” efforts of our Educators and Support team members. That’s why we have monthly, peer-nominated awards to recognise the awesome achievements of our Educators and Support Office team members who go above and beyond. We also have annual Centre Manager and Educator awards nights which celebrate the fantastic work happening across our centres.
Employee Assistance Program
The wellbeing of our staff is important at the Guardian, so we encourage the use of our complimentary and confidential Employee Assistance Program (EAP). EAP can assist when personal, family or work-related concerns are impacting our employees at home or at work. We can also offer financial coaching through our dedicated Team Guardian Fund.
The One Team Guardian Fund
Our One Team Guardian Fund was established to offer temporary financial support to members of our team who are experiencing economic hardship or financial crisis due to a sudden emergency or personal situation beyond their control. The fund is to support our people through unforeseen or unavoidable financial difficulty, for example, serious illness, family members falling ill, homes being destroyed fire or flood, and other unthinkable situations.
A company-wide commitment to health and wellness
The Guardian ‘Be Safe’ system outlines our approach and commitment to keeping our centres safe for Children, Educators, Families and visitors. Our goal is to care for each other, be injury-free and contribute positively to health and wellbeing.
Be a Centre Manager
With more than 120 centres across Australia, our Centre Managers are pivotal in delivering on our vision to be the highest quality provider for childcare and early learning for families in Australia. And we treat them as such.
A Variety of roles
Our roles are more than just a job description. From our Support Office team to our Early Childhood Teachers, Operations teams and Centre Managers – we seek out the most awesome candidates because we want the best outcomes for our children and families.
Training and development
As the children in our care grow, so too do our People. We recognise that learning is a lifelong journey, and we support our team on that journey of development throughout their career with us.
