The Centre
Guardian Childcare & Education Lemon Tree is bursting with resource-rich environments for early learning. Following a recent Centre-wide renovation, this modern Centre is an oasis of learning for children aged from six weeks to six years. The children are able to explore and learn through modern resources, natural play structures and a range of age-specific play areas.
The first five years of your child’s life are incredibly important when it comes to social and emotional development, and setting them up with a love of learning that lasts a lifetime. That’s why, at Guardian Lemon Tree, we’re focused on teaching children how to learn versus just ticking a box. This approach to education comes to life in our Kindergarten Program, which is led by qualified teachers who are there to help prepare your child for the exciting transition to school.
The community-minded Educators at Guardian Lemon Tree also love sharing their passion, and recently filmed a short video to ‘paint and tell the story of the Very Hungry Caterpillar’. This was shared with the whole Guardian community.
As part of our strong community focus, all age groups participate in regular excursions out into our local community, connecting with local businesses and residents alike.
Our on-site chef Ishi is the heart of our Centre, preparing four nutritionally balanced meals using seasonal ingredients every day. Ishi also hosts regular cooking experiences for the children to help extend on their knowledge of good nutrition and encourage them to try new foods and flavours. Some of Ishi’s favourite recipes are even available for your to try at home, including the ever-popular Scrumptious Sausage Rolls.
The Opportunity
Working closely with your fellow Educators and Centre Manager, you will enjoy;
- Developing and maintaining meaningful relationships with children, families, colleagues, and the centre community.
- Developing and implementing an innovative early learning program reflective of current early years thinking and practice.
- Documenting and sharing with families in their children’s learning and development.
- Actively contributing to the implementation and adoption of the Guardian Curriculum.
- Professional learning and development programs, career pathways, and a truly collaborative and inclusive learning environment.
To be considered, you will have:
- A completed Certificate III and/or Diploma in Children’s Services (or working towards)
- Prior experience in long day-care
- Sound, practical working knowledge and implementation of the NQF and the EYLF
- Current Working with Children’s Check.
