At Guardian Childcare & Education, childcare is more than just a job – it’s a chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young children. We’re looking for an enthusiastic Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) to join our dedicated kindergarten team at Guardian Manifold Heights.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who’s passionate about supporting children’s growth and learning. For the remainder of this year, you’ll work with a combined 3 and 4-year-old kindergarten group, transitioning to separate classes in 2025. While we prefer a fully registered teacher, we are open to provisional teachers or those working towards their qualification if the right candidate applies.

You’ll be part of a team where your voice matters, and you’ll have the chance to influence innovative learning programs. Here’s what you can expect:

  • Ongoing professional development through exceptional coaching, conferences, mentoring, and career advancement opportunities.
  • Collaborative teamwork with passionate educators and teachers, sharing best practices and learning from each other.
  • A well-resourced, high-quality environment for both children and teachers, including a range of educational resources and tools.
  • Competitive salary & financial benefits, including attractive remuneration packages, generous childcare discounts, and an employee referral program.
  • WHEREFIT: Access to 2,000 discounted corporate offers (gym memberships, activewear, beauty treatments, and more!).
  • Guardian Degree Program: Paid study support, flexible hours, mentor guidance, and course fee reimbursement.
  • Paid first aid courses and renewals.

About the Role As an ECT at Guardian Manifold Heights, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Creating a safe and engaging learning environment where children can explore, discover, and grow through play.
  • Building meaningful relationships with families, ensuring they feel informed and confident in their children’s education and care.
  • Supporting Educators in implementing contemporary early childhood practices and quality programs.
  • Contributing to leadership and decision-making through Leadership Councils, developing your leadership skills and influencing change.

The Ideal Candidate To succeed in this role, we’re looking for someone who has:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education (ACECQA-approved) or related degree
  • Current Teacher’s Accreditation/Registration (VIT for VIC state).
  • 3+ years of teaching experience in an early childhood setting (desirable)
  • Strong knowledge of the National Quality Framework (NQF).
  • A current Working with Children’s Check (WWCC) for VIC.

We can only consider full time candidates.
