Early Childhood Teacher Position
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Teacher to join our team on a 12-month contract, with a strong possibility of continuing beyond the contract term. The successful candidate will be working in a vibrant classroom environment with 30 children, supported by two experienced assistant educators who have been with the centre for an extended period. These assistant educators are confident in managing the classroom, ensuring a smooth and supportive atmosphere.
Role Details:
- Contract Length: 12-month contract with a promising opportunity for extension
- Classroom Support: Work alongside two skilled assistant educators who have been in the classroom throughout the year.

- Support Services: The classroom is allocated 8 hours of approved Inclusion Support Services per day.

The Centre
Burdell West has five beautiful learning studios with modern, spacious indoor and outdoor environments. Each studio is grouped by age, each room has quality educational resources for fun, engaging play-based learning experiences.
Our high quality Guardian Burdell West Kindergarten program has a strong focus on social and emotional development. We support children to develop skills to become active and confident learners as they move onto school. This program emphasises play-based experiences but also has more structured learning for: number concepts, pre-writing (e.g. tracing, completing patterns, reproducing patterns), reading and writing skills and more.

- Implementing an educational program that is visible in the centre environment and on Storypark, that provides opportunities for families, children, and educators to view and contribute their ideas and suggestions to the program. This includes maintaining children’s learning and development profiles
- Contributing to the self-assessment process and the strategies for continuous improvement.
To be considered, you will have:
- A Bachelor in Early Childhood
- Previous experience working as an ECT
- Proven knowledge of the National Quality Framework
- Valid Working with Children’s Check (QLD Paid Blue Card)
