Sydney CBD Centres Receive ‘Exceeding’ Rating

In exciting news for Guardian, every Sydney CBD early learning centre – with the exception of our brand new Barangaroo centre, which has yet to be assessed – is now Exceeding the National Quality Standard (NQS).

What is the National Quality Standard?

An important part of the National Quality Framework, the NQS is sets a high, national benchmark for early education and care. By providing seven key quality areas in early learning, the NQS helps families make informed decisions about which service to choose. The seven key areas are:

  1. Educational program and practice
  2. Children’s health and safety
  3. Physical environment
  4. Staffing arrangements
  5. Relationships with children
  6. Collaborative partnerships with families and communities
  7. Leadership and service management

Services are assessed by their regulatory authority and are given a rating out of seven for each of the areas and an overall rating based on the results. We are proud of our centres for achieving this fantastic rating and would like to extend a huge congratulations and thank you to the teams who work tirelessly to ensure our centres are delivering high quality early education every day.
