The team at Acre Woods Childcare – Eastwood are the heart of the centre. Zoe Wang, the Centre Manager has been working at Acre Woods for six and a half years. With a background as an Early Childhood Teacher, Zoe uses her knowledge and skills in collaborating with the team and parents to build a positive learning community.

Wing Chiu and Sarah Davison have been integral from day one of opening the centre. Wing located in the nursery room for more than ten years is known for her assistance in offering critical support to many families who are experiencing childcare for the first time. Sarah is a great communicator and has established wonderful relationships with families, providing helpful advice for their children’s learning and development.

The centre’s Educational Leader Riddhima Jain is creative and passionate and brings inspiration to the team through creating an inviting and caring environment for their young learners.

Acre Woods Childcare – Eastwood also offers beautiful natural surroundings that provide children with ample opportunities to explore and enjoy nature. With the goal of expanding the children’s horizons, regular excursions are organised including walks in the Milner Grounds around the centre. The Milner Grounds enable discovery of changes between seasons and opportunity for engaging outdoor games.

With most families living locally and comprising a variety of backgrounds, the richness of cultures is harnessed towards a welcoming community atmosphere. Culture is promoted as a learning opportunity within the centre and is rich in diversity for both children and families. Centre educators speak Mandarin, Cantonese, Shanghainese, Hindi, Hokkien, Armenian and Arabic, providing wonderful support to families whose first language is not English.
