Porridge and Fruit

This recipe was provided by our wonderful Educator Samantha at Guardian Thurgoona.


  • ¼ cup oats
  • ¼ cup full cream milk
  • Add flavour with banana, apple, blueberry, or raspberry


  1. In a mall pot, combine oats and milk.
  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the oats are soft, and the mixture thickens.
  3. Add a flavour of choice (banana, apple, blueberry, or raspberry) and continue cooking for another minute.
  4. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  5. Blend the mixture to a smoother consistency using a blender or stick mixer.
  6. Freeze the porridge in portions for later use.
