Serves 4-6

Ingredients

  • 4-5 carrots, sliced
  • 5 sticks celery, sliced
  • 3-4 zucchini, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 500g beef mince
  • 6 packs hokkien noodles

Sauce

  • 1/2 cup oyster sauce
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 60ml dark soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon five spice

Instructions

  1. Heat a large frying pan or wok over high heat. Add the beef and cook for 5 minutes, tossing occasionally, until browned.
  2. Add the vegetables and cook for 3-4 minutes or until tender.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the oyster sauce, soy sauce, dark soy sauce, and five spice.
  4. Add the sauce to the pan with the beef and vegetables. Stir to combine.
  5. Add the hokkien noodles and toss everything together. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  6. Divide among bowls and serve hot.

Vegetarian alternative: Swap the beef mince for a plant-based alternative, such as crumbled tofu.
