Banana, Apple and Oat Slice

This wholesome Banana, Apple, and Oat Slice is packed with nutritious ingredients and natural sweetness. This slice is a perfect snack to satisfy hungry tummies between meals, offering a delicious and wholesome treat for children.

Serves 4-6

Ingredients

  • 375g Rolled oats
  • 250g Sultanas
  • 125g Brown sugar
  • 150g Apple puree (about 1 medium apple)
  • 150g Banana, smashed (about 1 large banana)
  • 190g Self-raising flour
  • 15g Baking powder
  • 15g Vanilla essence
  • 200g margarine or butter melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 170°C and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, combine the oats, sultanas, brown sugar, flour, and baking powder. Set aside.
  3. In another bowl, mix the apple puree and smashed banana together.
  4. Combine the wet and dry ingredients, then stir in the vanilla essence and melted margarine until well mixed.
  5. Pour the mixture into the lined tray and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. Allow to cool before slicing into bars.
