Point Cook Early Learning Centre Gets Local Shout Out

In early September, Guardian Childcare & Early Learning – Point Cook received a full page feature in local community paper, Around Point Cook. The article titled ‘Creative Learning in Point Cook’ showcased the centre’s Reggio-Emilia inspired early learning philosophy as well as the importance of encouraging children’s curiosity through meaningful play-based learning.

Sustainability is also a key focus at Guardian Childcare & Early Learning – Point Cook. Writer, Melissa Longo, notes “Recycled materials, provided by local businesses, families and the staff, provide not only excellent ‘loose parts’ to learn and play with, but also teach children the importance of repurposing, in this age of endless disposability.”

There’s a flourishing garden complete with leafy greens and fruit trees, with anything grown used in the centre’s meals. The children are able to be a part of the full garden to table experience which encourages healthy habits and a respect for where food comes from – not just in packets from the supermarket!

The beautiful outdoor spaces provides plenty of space for children to explore and play. There are sandpits, tyre tunnels and a digging patch with lots of resources to ignite the imagination of young minds.
